One thing that is never discussed but that I have found to be very helpful in getting traffic to my sites is to answer questions on Yahoo Answers. I don't spam to do it, but when possible, I provide a link back to my site as the source of my answer. Which of course means that I have to first make sure there really is an answer to the particular question on my site. So, sometimes what I do is read the question then go make a quick blog post on my blog that answers the question.
