People who want to work as a “freelancer” or work from their homes, they need the following to setup their home offices.

• Room (A place which you can turn into your home office)
• Computer System (minimum Core 2 duo recommended, though it depends on the type of jobs you will be working on. I am saying this because for data entry projects you dont need to have a high speed computer)
• Internet connection (DSL connection recommended, again it depends on your job type, for web developers they need to upload/download files via ftp and they require high internet speed for that)
• A Computer Table (Optional in case you are working on a laptop)
• A chair (A comfortable chair to make yourself at ease while working on your projects and make you feel comfortable)
• UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) Recommended for freelancers in Pakistan as we have to face load shedding and electricity rationing.
• Other things like Printer, Scanner, Office table accessories are optional and you can buy them later on with your monthly projects income but its not must to have them while you are new to freelancing.
• A Book Rack (A shelf to keep your important books that are available when needed)
• Telephone/Fax Machine (Optional)
